What is an Australian Government Bond (AGB)?

An Australian Government Bond (AGB) is a type of investment where money is lent to the Australian Government in exchange for regular interest payments and a payment when the investment matures. AGBs are backed by the Australian Government.

What is an exchange-traded Australian Government Bond (eAGB)?

An exchange-traded Australian Government Bond (eAGB) is a type of investment that provides you with the economic benefits of owning an Australian Government Bond – such as receiving interest and maturity payments. eAGBs can be bought and sold on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
